“During construction on a site I was responsible for during my time as a QS at Redrow Homes, we suffered substantial theft and damage of boilers and houses, totalling in excess of £10k, despite us spending thousands a month on a PID system.

We were approached by Nick Brown from The Datacompany with a product which would not only deter theft of boilers by visual representation but also enable identification and help secure prosecution should the boilers be stolen and recovered, as well as saving a small fortune in security.

Once the PID system was removed from site and the new Datacompany system was implemented, Police were informed and the investigation begun. Our boilers were successfully identified a week later. Since that incident the thefts of boilers dramatically decreased and eventually stopped in its entirety, due to the culprits realising they were fighting a losing battle against The Datacompany, and they would more than likely be caught. The visual deterrents on site also had a great positive impact on vandalism in general which was an added bonus.

The guys at The Datacompany were friendly, very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. Full demonstrations were given on site on how to fit the product to our needs and were always on hand to answer any questions.

I would without a doubt use The Datacompany again on any site suffering long standing security/theft issues. For the cost per kit/plot it’s a no brainer.”
